Everything Happens For A Reason...

Pilot/Episode 1: A Tale Of Two Cities
(Original air date:  Jan 19th, 2006)

Ashley and Ryan meet in January 2006 in San Jose, CA. Through fate, they meet again in June 2006 in Pittsburgh, PA. In September of that year, they start an unconventional relationship while living half a country apart. Seeing each other only a few times a year isn't easy, but they find ways to make it work.

Episode 2: Live Together, Die Alone
(Original air date: May 15th, 2008)

In February 2008, Ryan proposes and a few months later Ashley moves to Texas where they embark on a new life together with a few new furry children. Through new jobs, new friends, changes in life and in health.. they take it all one step at a time and though they face many trials and tribulations, their love keeps them together.

Episode 3: The Constant
(Original air date: April 28th, 2015)

Ashley and Ryan travel to California and visit the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. For years, this was the place they discussed for their wedding. Being at the zoo brings back memories of their past 7 years together, shown in Flashbacks. They make plans to finalize their wedding date.

Episode 4: ...And Found
(Original air date: August 12th, 2016)

While traveling to their wedding, Ashley and Ryan's plane goes off course and crash lands on a mysterious island in the Pacific. Ashley awakens disoriented in the jungle, and runs haphazardly back to the beach where she finds Ryan and her best friends among the carnage. They attend their wounds and move up the beach to make camp. Later, while searching through the wreckage for supplies, Ashley finds her wedding dress still pristine in her suitcase. 8/15 was set to be their wedding date..
Their plane was thousands of miles off course for them to have landed in the ocean. Will anyone even know what happened to them or where to look? Our group attempts to keep their spirits up, but hope is fleeting. Their friends suggest that maybe everyone could use something to take their minds off their current situation.. and so, surrounded by their cherished friends, Ashley and Ryan say their vows on the white, sandy beach while the waves lap at the shore, unsure if or when they'll make it back home to their families.

4..**8-15-16**..23..42..

Sometimes you plan for one thing, and another thing happens. It's been a long time dream to get married at the SDZSP, with views of Africa behind us. Last year in April we stood in the areas our ceremony would take place in. However the more we talked about our impending wedding and costs involved.. we started having other ideas. If you know me at all, you know how much LOST means to me and I've wanted to make that pilgrimage to Hawaii and see where the show was filmed. Our wedding date was originally to be 4/8/15, with a LOST theme among our African scenery (because original ideas of a Hawaiian beach wedding were even more cost-prohibitive, especially for family). Costs resulted in us having to push our date back to 4/8/16, but again it was looking like expenses involved with that sort of wedding were out of our reach.

..but what if we could find a way to do it all?

Ryan and I are asking, in lieu of gifts, for and friends or family to contribute to our wedding fund. Nothing about our relationship has been conventional, and so we hope family will understand as we tie the knot with a few close friends on Papa'iloa Beach, Hawaii, 8/15/16. Our goal is to raise money to help cover our airfare, car rental and lodgings.

Any additional money will go towards a family celebration we'd like to tentatively plan for 2017, which will take place at the San Diego Zoo. The cost for this will be an additional  $2k-$3k. Any money gifted towards helping with these two life events will help Ryan and I to start off our lives as a married couple in a bit less debt than we're already in ;)
