Ashley Knight's Funeral Expenses
Our beloved Ashley was a beautiful woman who played soccer through her youth and throughout high school. In addition to her love for soccer, she was on the student council where she was blossoming as a young woman.
During these teenage years, Ashley sadly developed a cyst the size of a basketball which led to a full hysterectomy. This procedure barred her from the ability to get pregnant, and the thought of never having children impacted Ashley severely. Ashley’s surgery left her with three serious infections which kept her in the hospital for one month where she was given a morphine drip to manage pain. After her release from the hospital her infections continued, requiring additional in-home medical attention, and she was prescribed further opiate-based medication for pain management. These medications combined with her battle with depression took her down a dark path which she could not escape.
With her mom’s emotional and financial support, Ashley battled several unsuccessful attempts at rehabilitation. Her mother Tracy worked multiple jobs in an effort to provide the resources needed to fund her daughter’s rehabilitative services and the associated medicines. A single example of the great financial burden associated with drug addiction is the $1000.00/month medication Tracy purchased in order to help Ashley battle her addiction. After many years of fighting, the fight came to an end when Ashley succumbed to the opiate addiction and was found lifeless. Her beautiful soul was freed from the chains that bound her to this world on May 20th, 2017.
Ashley did not have a life insurance policy, therefore leaving her family responsible for the expenses. Please support Tracy in her family’s time of need, so she can properly memorialize Ashley with funeral arrangements and bring closure to this emotional and financially exhausting journey.
