On Thursday, May 9th, Lisa VanTress was admitted into the ER under the assumption that she was having a miscarriage.
At the time she was only 18 weeks and 6 days along in her pregnancy.
I won’t bore you with ALL of the details.. but any questions, she has agreed to answer.
Lisa was under this assumption due to the fact that she had pressure “up front” and saw something protruding that was round and looked like it might be the head. Under examination, ER doctors confirmed that she was in pre-term labor and she was to be transferred upstairs to deliver (knowing that any fetus before 22-24 weeks would be an automatic miscarriage)
After being taken upstairs, an ultrasound was performed and found out that Baby is right where she needs to be but that part of the amniotic sac was in the vaginal canal.
Baby’s water ended up rupturing with a small leak and in hopes it would repair itself, Lisa has been on IV fluids since Tuesday, May 14th. So far .. no luck but we are hopeful. There is currently only a tiny pocket of amniotic fluid above her, so WHEN she survives, we are preparing for all of her health risks.
Baby girl just needs to stay in until 22 weeks and Lisa will be transferred to a hospital in St Louis with an experienced team and amazing resources.
Currently hospital bound and stuck in bed all day, she is unable to work and we are looking to help her and Ryan VanTress raise money to continue supporting their current 3 yr old son plus any and all medical expenses not covered under insurance plus traveling expenses to and from both hospitals.
