Gord Billard unfortunately lost his dad to cancer. He had to travel with his own expense. And we know how expensive travelling in the North can be.
He is known for drama, photography, videography, lighting, sound, Arviat Film Society, band member.... so much more. He has touched many Arviat youth since August 2001 and still does up to date. He has changed many people’s life’s and still has up-to-date in Arviat.
No one understands the amount of volunteer hours he’s done, rehearsals, teaching, traveling across Nunavut for skills Nunavut and Skills Canada. And he doesn’t ask for anything back except for the young people to have fun.
What he does is endless and he still does it every day. Supporting the community when in need in so many ways people don’t see. We can pay it forward and give back to the man who has given so much to Arviat.
