Arthur Supports EMBRACE!

This is Arthur! (on the right, goofball next to his sister!)
Arthur has always marched to the beat of a different drum. He’s currently on the Autistic Pathway.
This past year was especially challenging for Arthur as his sister Victoria became deathly ill. Thanks to some friends at Embrace Wigan and Leigh, Arthur is well on his way towards understanding his differences, leveraging his strengths, managing his weaknesses, and overall getting to experience everything life has to offer.
In 2016, Embrace Wigan and Leigh have supported Arthur in a number of ways:
• Incontinence referral and support
• Sleep solutions referral and support
• Occupational Therapy referral
• Assistance and support during DLA application and appeal process
• Assistance and support during direct payments application process to hire a Personal Assistant
• Fundraising support for his little sister who underwent Proton Beam Therapy in the US
• Counselling referrals for parents
• Emergency Counselling services for mum
Those are just a few ways Embrace has helped Arthur and his family in particular. They do so much for so many families across Wigan Borough. You can learn more about them here: http://www.embracewiganandleigh.org.uk/
In 2017, Arthur wants to give back. He’d like to raise funds for Embrace Wigan and Leigh by participating in the Wigan Run Festival Family Run being held on Sunday, 19th March 2017 at Mesnes Park. https://www.sportsentrysolutions.com/xcompetitors.php?recordID=200341
Let’s help Arthur smash his fundraising goal and cheer him on at the Finish Line this March!
