This campaign is created to collect funds to provide ART supplies for low-income children of Fundación Ayuda Humana, Tu Mano Amiga in Cali, Colombia, and also to contribute to AFSP the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

In 2016 Edgardo Machado and his wife created Fundación Ayuda Humana, Tu Mano Amiga (Human Aid Foundation, Your Friendly Hand) with the purpose to provide artistic and cultural activities for children between four and thirteen years of age in Aguablanca District in Cali, Colombia, to develop their creative skills, teach them a positive use of their spare time and prevent the consumption of psychoactive drugs.
They have about forty+ low-income children, which also learn about the use of recyclable materials for their artistic activities, who gather together in a community center of their neighborhood that allows them to use their space. Edgardo and his wife sometimes struggle to get enough supplies for all the children throughout their artistic activities. They have to rely on the good heart of friends and family but that is still is not enough.
Most of these children are raised by single-parent families, where the household income does not even reach US$250 a month. Lack of government aid and lack of opportunities, might push these children to the use of drugs and to the streets, exposing them to malnourishment, abuse and a criminal life.
NOT ALL SUPERHEROES WEAR CAPES, AND YOU COULD BE ONE, by DONATING to provide these wonderful children with enough supplies to develop POWERFUL ART, to HEAL and keep them busy and away from drug use and also to CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE, BRING AWARENESS and funds for SUICIDE PREVENTION. 10% of the funds will be donated to The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention AFSP.

En 2016, Edgardo Machado y su esposa crearon la FUNDACIÓN AYUDA HUMANA, TU MANO AMIGA con el propósito de brindar actividades artísticas y culturales para niños de cuatro a trece años de edad en el Distrito de Aguablanca en Cali, Colombia, para desarrollar sus habilidades creativas, enseñarles un uso positivo de su tiempo libre con el fin de prevenir el consumo de drogas y sustancias psicoactivas.
Reciben aproximadamente cuarenta (o más) niños de muy bajos recursos que también aprenden sobre el uso de material reciclado para sus actividades artísticas, y quienes se reúnen en el salón comunal de su barrio que les permiten hacer uso de su espacio. Edgardo y su esposa algunas veces se les hace difícil conseguir suficientes materiales para todos los niños durante sus actividades artísticas. Muchos de ellos son adquiridos por el buen corazón de familiares y amigos pero aun así no es suficiente.
La mayoría de estos niños son criados por familias de un solo padre/madre, donde el ingreso mensual no llega a los US$250. La falta de ayuda del gobierno, falta de oportunidades, puede llevar a estos niños al consumo de drogas y a las calles exponiéndolos a la malnutrición, abusos y la vida criminal.
NO TODOS LOS SUPERHÉROES USAN CAPA, Y TU PUEDES SER UNO, DONANDO para brindar a estos niños maravillosos suficientes materiales para sus actividades artísticas, para desarrollar sus capacidades creativas y mantenerlos ocupados y alejados del uso de drogas, y también para CREAR CAMBIO POSITIVO, BRINDAR CONCIENCIA y fondos para la prevención del suicidio. 10% de los fondos serán donados a la Fundación Americana para la Prevención del Suicidio AFSP.
