Armed Robbery Recuperation

Hi friends, family and everyone reading this post. My name is Vincent Miller and I do not believe in handouts or abusing a system. However, after experiencing grand theft auto at gunpoint . . . I am saddened to ask for help from my community of support.

Saturday evening just before 11 p.m. four men drew handguns and forced me out of my vehicle. The asailants took my house keys, car and phone. I am physically fine, but emotionally shaken.

The Kansas City Police Department has been kind in the process, and were able to recover the car at 72nd and 4th in Kansas City. As it turns out there were over four suspects living in a house with over five cars holding mismatched plates. Meaning - this has been a recurring issue with a much larger ring than the four men who robbed me.

At this time ( 8 a.m. 7/20/2017) I am looking at the following expenses:

- Initial insurance claim for a stolen vehicle
- Towing fees for the city to maintain stolen property
- Replacing a leased phone through Sprint
- Financing the change of all locks on my apartment
- Accounting for missed work to rectify this situation
- Additional fees with insurance, city and towing

I am asking for help in shouldering some of these expenses and getting back on my feet. As you can expect, none of these expenses were pre planned/accounted for in my budget. Any amount helps as I undertake the process of getting my life stitched back together. If you are unable to donate, I would be happy to work out a repayment plan for those of you able to loan me funds.
