The History of Solid Rock...
In the year of our Lord in 1975 in the month of December, the Lord spoke to (at that time) Elder David Lee Dupree Jr. to go and pastor and lead his people back to True Holiness.
Elder Dupree went to his pastor Elder Mary L. Miles,  pastor of Mt. Sinai Tabernacle Holiness Church, and expressed what the Lord told him, she in turn said: "Take my church!" So he, not wanting to start confusion took the church with Elder Miles as Overseer. Elder George Swain, who's now Bishop over his own work as Associate Pastor, Mother Bertha Patterson was Church Mother and Co-Founder, Evangelist Priscilla Dupree was Women's Department President and Co-Founder.
The church, through very small, was powerful and the Lord added souls to the church. Elder Dupree became Pastor the 1st Sunday in January 1976, a few months later while on the church's first shut-in, the Lord spoke to Elder Dupree and said Solid Rock!! Elder Dupree called a meeting and told them the new name; Solid Rock Holiness Church. At a later date and time, the Lord reminded Elder Dupree that He said...." True Holiness" and in the year of our Lord 1981, the church became chartered and incorporated as Solid Rock True Holiness Churches of the Apostolic Faith Incorporated. Elder Miles kept Mt. Sinai and Elder Dupree moved on with Solid Rock.
The second Solid Rock Church was established in Brooklyn, New York and then in Nashua, New Hampshire: where the Late Pastor Grace Fitzpatrick was pastor. The Lord moving in Elder Dupree, called him to the Bishopric in 1981 and was consecrated by the late Bishop R. O. Murray of the Rehoboth Bethel Churches.  in the early 80s. Solid Rock was on the move.
Bishop Dupree pricked up a pen during one Holy Convocation and wrote down states where he had churches, but the people knew we had no churches in those states; however, without a vision, the people perish. Today, in every state Bishop wrote down back then, there's a Solid Rock there and yet growing. Our Senior Bishop, who is now also Chief Apostle has gone through much, but continues to remain steadfast and unmovable.
We too must never forget our officials who have gone on with the Lord: National Mother Bertha Patterson, National Father, Deacon Moses Patterson; National Evangelist, Massachusetts District Overseer, Elect Lady Priscilla Dupree; and National Women's President and Headquarters Co-Pastor, Elect Lady Priscilla B. Ingram 1st Administrative Assistant and Vice- Bishop Tecola Stevenson. National Drummer Samuel B. Smart: Brother Charlie Stevenson: Elder Rodney Upsher; Honorable Mentions: Mother Minnie Melvin, Evangelist Mother Dorothy Hines. and Pastor Mary Miles; Pastor Grace Fitzgerald; Pastor Jeremiah Faircloth; Prophet Kenneth Davis, and all those who died in the faith and we say:
On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand, All Other Ground is Sinking Sand.
Church Covenant
Having been led, as we believe by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession on our faith, we do now in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly, and joyfully enter into covenant with other another, as one body in  Christ.
We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort, to promote its prosperity and spirituality, to sustain its worship, ordinances, regularly support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the Gospel through all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and secret devotion: to educate our children religiously: to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our departments; to avoid all tattling. backbiting, and excessive anger, to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drink as a beverage,  to advance the kingdom of our Savior.
We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and in courtesy of speech; to be slow to take offence; but always ready for reconciliation  and mindful of the rules of our savior to secure without delay.
We moreover engages that, when we remove from this place, we will as soon as possible unite with some other church where we can carry out the Spirit of this covenant and the principles of God's Word
