I have been nominated by my Biology teacher, Dr. William Coleman, of Bowie High School to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum ( NYLF): Medicine next summer, 2018.
I was personally selected based upon my academic excellence, leadership potential and interest in a career in medicine.
Several students from Bowie High School have previously attended this program and I'm looking forward to going this summer!
At NYLF Medicine, I will visit and practice in the same training simulation centers that medical students, residents and physicians use to practice their medical skills. I will also get hands-on experience in a variety of medical procedures using the latest technology used by medical professionals.
