Ariel Jillian for Miss Georgia USA 2020

Hello all!

My name is Ariel Jillian Smith and I am so excited to announce that I’ll be running for the title for Miss Georgia USA 2020! Over the course of my life I have consistently been an advocate for personal improvement, beauty, class, and community service. While I am not a traditional pageant and have only competed in one pageant in my life, I believe that I have been living my life as a pageant queen without even knowing it! When this opportunity came my way I knew I could not pass up the opportunity to have a voice for the many people and communities I represent. 

Your contributions to this cause will not only benefit my personal growth as a leader, but will also pave the way for so many other young girls who may not have had this opportunity to do the same. 

Many know me as the face of Ariel Inc., a custom design company I founded in 2015 that creates beautiful and unique clothing. Fashion designing is one of my passions as I love creating beautiful looks but it's not my only passion. I also have an extreme passion for teaching and mentoring young students which started when I joined the Teach For America team in 2014. Even after graduating the TFA program, I held several fashion design classes for young girls who wanted to learn and I also held several prom giveaways for deserving girls who did not have the funds to have their dream prom day. My love for teaching and inspiring young students will only grow as I have more support and funds to fully be of service to all!

The purpose of this GofundMe is to help raise money for the various fees and costs associated with my journey to Miss Georgia USA 2020. I am in this to win it and take every donation to heart! Here is a breakdown of what the $14,000 campaign goal will pay for...

- Official Miss Georgia USA application and sponsorship fees

- Local Campaign events leading to the pageant weekend (I want as many supporters at the pageant as humanly possible!)

-Travel fees (I plan on traveling to different schools, businesses, and community outreach locations throughout Georgia to gain support)

- Personal Improvement Costs (Beauty fees, Speech coach, Pageant Coach, Health and Fitness) 

- Wardrobe Fees (I plan on designing ALL of the looks that I can for the pageant, including evening gown, interview and swimwear) 

- Sponsorship of 101 students (As I travel throughout Georgia, I want to sponsor 101 young students who may not have had exposure to pageants to come support me as I compete on pageant weekend) 

If it is not possible for you to donate at this time, I highly encourage you to show your support by coming to the pageant or even spreading the word that I am a candidate! The pageant will be held November 21-23rd, 2019 at the Henry County Performing Arts Center in Mcdonough, GA!
