The Arc of WBO Office Printer

The Arc is a not for profit organization serving over 200 adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. The Arc of Winnebago, Boone and Ogle Counties is a Rockford, Illinois chapter of The Arc of the United States, a national organization. Annually, The Arc receives between 50-75% of our budget from the State of Illinois through its homebased program. The Arc must fundraise anywhere between 25 to 50% of its budget every year through fundraising and donations. All other services, programs, activities, and classes are provided through minimal fees charged to individuals to help offset costs.
This go-fund-me page has been created to raise funds to replace The Arc’s copy machine. The biggest need we have right now, besides normal additional funding, is replacing our 15 year old, black and white, office copy machine. Commonly known as the ‘dinosaur’, this copy machine has made over half a million copies and has recently announced its full extinction; in other words, it decided to stop copying altogether. It is our goal to raise money for a new office document center which will allow The Arc to print everything needed in-house and assist in growing our art program.

1. A glimpse of the frustration of any worn-out office printer/fax machine reenacted by our talented artists.
2. An overview of this fundraising project brought to you by those it will impact the most (our participants!).
Project Art’s vision is to develop the entrepreneurial side of the program’s visual and performing artists to provide a supplemental income opportunity for individuals with disabilities. Immediately, a multifunctional printer will help to produce high quality prints of our artists’ artwork, art greeting cards, and showcase for sale the artists’ creations. It will also help to make business cards, artist statements, promotional materials for art shows, and much more!
The money raised will go directly towards:
- A multifunctional COLOR Document Center
- One year of servicing
- A variety of printing surfaces for Project Art
- Servicing for upgrading to the new machine
Please consider donating to our document center fund while supporting the growth of vital programs such as Project Art. We greatly appreciate any exposure to our cause or any financial assistance towards our document center and program!
