Archer Cope VS Childhood Kidney Cancer

Donation protected
5 weeks ago, Archer's Grandfather felt a large lump in the side of 3.5 year old's stomach. They rushed him to the hospital and after numerous tests his parents Regina and Mitch were told that Archer had Childhood Kidney Cancer. A 9cm tumour was attached to his kidney, both the tumour and the kidney would need to be removed and a series of treatments would follow.

The following day after receiving the devastating news, Regina gave birth to their second child. So while Archer sat in the Children's Hospital with his grandparents, Regina and Mitch were next door at the Women's Hospital, mustering up all the energy and fight they had left to bring his new little brother safely into the world. There could not be a prouder big brother, who was boasting to anyone who would listen about his new baby brother Franklin.

Archer has since undergone 5 weeks of Chemotherapy and yesterday had the tumour and the kidney removed in a successful surgery. There is still a long journey ahead of recovery from surgery and further Chemotherapy.

Regina is currently on Maternity leave, taking care of their beautiful new baby who can not be near the chemotherapy treatment. This leaves Mitch to be with Archer for all his hospital treatments, surgery, tests and Chemotherapy. Mitch is a small business owner, when he is not at work his business suffers. They have just come off a year where Mitch broke his leg into what has been described as a gazillion pieces, so when receiving this latest blow they were already feeling the pressure of Mitch missing work and his business falling behind.

Let me be clear in that this family did not ask for this Go Fund Me page, nor do they feel comfortable asking or receiving help.
But do they deserve it? Absolutely.

How can you help and what will this be used for?
Any small amount will be a big help to the Copes.
If anyone has ever parked at a hospital, driven through Sydney Tolls or filled up a car worth of petrol, you will understand that these few things can add up very quickly.
Anything you can spare to put towards the never ending expenses such as these, which burden any family going through medical crisis, will really help alleviate some pressure for this beautiful family.

They deserve a helping hand, they would be the first to help others.

Life is shit sometimes, let's make it a little less shit for them.
