Oswego House Fire/Faithful Friends

My name is Denise Halleran.  I am a teacher in Aurora and live in Geneva, IL.    At 10 pm on Monday, October 16th my dear friend and co-worker who lives in Oswego, Edia and her family woke up to flames in gulfing her home and family, including her husband, her 16 year old daughter, and her 11 year old son.   Her husband ran back in to get their son, and then again to get their dog.    It took 7 fire departments to put the fire out but everything but their wedding rings, her mother's wedding ring, and a ring her dad had given her were all gone.   They are now living with family and feel very loved and lifted up by the support and prayer from the community and people who cherish them.   

Insurance will cover everything eventually except the cars.  They had recently changed their insurance and so the cars were not covered.    I would love them to be able to offset the cost of their cars and have some access to mobility and independence as soon as possible.   If you would like to donate it would of course be greatly appreciated.   I also know there are people who would like to help in other ways and that is also extremely appreciated.   

They are very humble and feel blessed to have all the prayer.  It is challenging to accept help and donations but they are learning to lean on people who want to help.   Any small amount will help us reach a goal for them.   I am aiming for a 20,000 but of course any amount is helpful and appreciated.
