New motor for transportation boat for APECAPeru along the Amazon.

What would motivate strangers to help strangers in a foreign land? One possibility is a growing awareness that we are all ONE on One relatively small planet, all dependent upon the sustainable health of that planet. APECAPERU wants to provide for you an opportunity to make a significant difference in the health of the rainforest and its local residents along the Amazon River in Peru.

 APECA focuses on a two-dimensional PROGRAM of Health and Conservation, implemented by designing and--with specialized education and training--executing a wide variety of specific PROJECTS. The intention ("Mission") of the program is to develop an increasingly enriching and sustainable life-style for both individuals and local communities in remote villages, who will become the local "keepers" of one of our planet's vital rainforests.

With the help of other organizations and individuals, including Peruvian organizations, APECA designs, develops, and solicits financing for a number of other specific individual projects.

This specific project is to purchase a new motor for a boat owned by APECAPeru.   There is no ground transportation along the Amazon.  This boat provides transportation to move medical and educational materials as well as project supplies among villages and water project sites.  The current moter is over 15 years old and needs replacement.  Without the boat, APECA cannot effectively complete support projects.
