Princess was found in the City of Amsterdam a few weeks ago. When she was found, she had no use of three out of four limbs. And after many visits to various Vets it was determined that she was most likely kicked or struck in such a manner that caused a broken elbow, a fractured rib and fractured vertebrea that caused paralysis in her back end. It was also determined that her case was not completely hopeless. She steadily shows improvement!

She is currently being cared for around the clock by selfless volunteers and our own Animal Control Officer. She has a rough road ahead of her, and needs your help not only for the initial surgery, but for one she will most likely need as she gets older. This puppy is lovable and has an amazing will to live despite being treated so badly.

Any remaining money from this go fund me will be used as an emergency fund for animals in Amsterdam, just as it was with our "Otis" fund raiser.

How awesome it is to see so many people come together in such a short amount of time to reach a goal to help this poor pup. It's awesome!

I would kindly suggest to all those expressing interest in adopting this, or any animal with special needs, to please understand what it takes to care for a paralyzed animal. It is a commitment that goes far, far beyond that of normal dog care. If you are not healthy yourself and can routinely lift a 30-60lb dog dozens of times a day, not just today but 10 years from now, then it's not the right choice for you. There are no days off.

Stay with the acupuncture treatments (at least 5). My dog Foxy had nerve damage (from being hit by a car tire) in his front leg and couldn't move it at all. I got him acupuncture (with b12) and did some pool therapy. He was walking after the fifth treatment! Thank you Amsterdam Police, and everyone for caring about Princess.
