Wick ANZAC Parade Australia 2018

Royal British Legion Scotland Wick , Canisbay and Latheron veterans are fundraising towards the once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to Laurieton & Canberra Australia to parade in the annual ANZAC ceremony as guests of the RSL.
It would be a dream come true for the veterans from all 3 services to be able to attend the ANZAC ceremony in memory of fallen comrades and parade the Wick colours in their honour. One of the members hoping to travel is 94 and a brave WW2 Veteran.
Given this year is the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1 it makes the trip even more poignant for them.
The funds, almost £10,000 need to be raised by April 2018. This is not long however our Veterans are hoping in addition to their own fundraising efforts they can ask for the support and generosity of the local community to help them achieve their goal.
For the men involved it has been an honour and a great privilege serving their Country and community. They would now be extremely grateful if members of the community support them in what some see as their last chance to have one final privilege, to pay tribute to their fallen comrades.
