Anthony "Scarface" Martell
Hello, my name is Cynthia. I am Anthony's (Scarface) sister. I am attempting to raise money for my brothers funeral at the age of 18. Young indeed. He was in an incident involving firearms. He is declared brain dead, they have him on a ventilator. The bullet missed the certain part of the brain that makes his heart stop beating (his heart is still beating on its own). They say he is not going to make it. That he has not function at all. They did the test when they see if he can breathe on his own. He did not pass. We are preparing for the worst to come & it's coming. He made irrational decisions but there was no doubt his heart was made of gold. Any way any how he will try to help someone. We did not receive any information from the authorities. We had to find out through our cousin & social media. Anxiously I called multiple hostpitals to find my brother but none of them had any information to give to me. I called the same hospitals over and over hoping for news. Finally I got a hold of a lady who was more than willing to help us in this petrifying sitiuation. She advised us someone without any identification was flown by helicopter to Good Samaritan Hospital. She advised us to call the authorities (which I had previously done) with this little piece of information. Finally Sergeant XXXX got a hold of us 45 minutes to an hour later. They did not explain anything over the phone, nor did they give us sufficiant information on the condition of my brother when we met in person. They started off with showing my mother a traumatizing photo of my brother through a phone. How technology disgusts me right now. I feel truly disgusted. Rather than having us meet the authorities at the hospital they show her a photo? We arrive at Good Samaritan Hospital only to be given the run around for about an hour. They refuse to let us see my brother. Saying this is a police investigation, that we wont be allowed to see him as we might compromise evidence. Compromise what exactly? Which leads me to wonder.. What really happened? Did he shoot himself? Or did the authorities decide its the easy explaination?
The money will be used toward his ceremony. He is currently under ventilator. They have one more exam to perform on him. One last test to see if there is any chance at saving him because right now its over. The soonest we will be needing to collect the funds will be Friday October 7, 2016 as we will need to make arrangements as soon as possible. Please if anyone of you knew my brother please help us get his ceremony covered. This would mean the world to me, to my sister, & most of all to the woman who lost her one and only baby boy; my mother.
