Answers for Eloise

My name is Eloise. I am 11 months old. On May 27th I woke up from my nap not responding to light or sound. My parents noticed I was lethargic. They took me to Ann and Robert H Lurie Hospital in Chicago. That is where I spent the next 12 days.

 I experienced CT Scans, MRIs, EEGs, a Spinal Tap and numerous blood tests. It took 3 days to discover I had been having seizures. They are sub-clinical seizures and could only be seen on the EEG. The doctors couldn’t see that I was seizing. The seizures were centered in the area of my brain that controls the function of my vision. My hearing has returned. My vision has not. It took days to find the medicine to make me stop seizing. I was released from the hospital because they couldn’t find any answers. My Mom and Dad have not been able to go to work. They are dedicating their time and energy to taking me to many doctors. I love them for that.

 They are helping me. I am hoping you can help them. My medical bills are adding up. We have to broaden our search for answers across the country. Mom, Dad, and I need answers.
