Anne Marie's Cancer Treatment

Just a few months ago in November 2015, Anne Marie Canevari - a hairdresser with a golden touch who has devoted her life to making others look and feel beautiful - started to feel sick. She knew something was wrong.
For the past three months she was feeling awful, just completely incapacitated. She felt like it was the worst flu ever, all day. Achy, exhausted, hardly able to stand. But she continued to work, because she had to.
Finally, just a few weeks ago, Anne Marie got a diagnosis. She has Lupus, an autoimmune disease, AND a rare blood cancer called Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia (also known as Lymphoplasmacytic Lymphoma) which affects six people in a million!
A double whammy.
Last week, she started treatment. Once a week for the next month she will be getting an IV with a cocktail of drugs to try and put the cancer into remission. This will be the first course. If this doesn't work, she will start a more aggressive chemotherapy.
If you know Anne Marie at all, you know that she is not only warm, generous and kind - a devoted friend and Aunt to her two beloved nieces - but she literally has a gift that she shares with her clients. She is hands down the best colorist I have ever been to. She also listens really well and has such a fun and relaxed demeanor. She gives and gives all day long (as all hairdressers do), so it's time we give back to her in any way that we can!
Anne Marie has insurance that will cover some of her medical expenses, but not all of them. There are so many blood tests she has to take becasue the cancer is so rare. She is a single person so she has nobody to rely on for income. Her treatment will also leave her really tired and not able to work very much. So between medical bills and loss of income, her biggest worry is money.
Let's help Anne Marie carry the monetary burden of fighting two diseases at the same time. We can relieve some of her stress - which will surely help her body heal faster - by donating money right here to her fund. Any amount will help - big or small!!
I am just one of Anne Marie's many, many devoted friends. She is proud, and it is very hard for her to ask for help with anything (convincing her to set up this page was hard).
