Annabelle's hospital stay
On a trip to Topeka we ended up in the PICU with respiratory failure due to a virus infection. For many kiddos this hits hard but for Miss Belle and her history of chronic lung disease, it has kept her ill for over a month. We've been in the hospital with her for nearing four weeks.
We were thankfully transferred to Ann and Robert H Luries Children's Hospital a little over two weeks ago. We've had some scary moments but our babe is a fighter. She daily makes progress and is showing the grace of God with every step she takes towards full recovery.
We dont know what the total need will be to help with transfer, medical costs not covered under insurance, future therapy. Dad is here with us and not able to work. We need help so we can keep our focus and prayers with Miss Belle.
She's back to her smiley self, even play fighting with me. We've been for the most part on lock down to keep her away from bugs while she recovered.
By Gods grace we hope to soon close on our home. Hard to imagine how we worked through this home buying process while in the ICU, but for the sake of our family we pushed through and will soon be closing.
Thankful for the continued support and prayers.
I know many people want to see Miss Belle but we are going to be on lock down for a bit. She is still pretty weak and needs to get much stronger.
Again, thank you to all who were able to donate and for those who continue to send help our way. We appreciate you all.
