Animal Rescue Building Improvements
My name is Andrei Chira, and I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of a very good friend of mine, Rhonda Kay.
Rhonda is a professional editor and writer, and she's one of the best friends I have, but one of her true passions is care for rescue animals. To that end, she started the Tazewell ARC to rescue dogs and other discarded animals in Tazewell, Virginia. It's a non-profit that functions on donations exclusively, and out in her neck of the woods, charity for stray dogs is short. No one seems to care.
The building she runs her animal rescue out of was built in the 1940's, and most of the wiring still uses cloth wires. As such, she doesn't have any way to use modern heaters to keep her pets warm. Anyone who's lived in the Virginia area knows it gets below freezing at night in the winter time, so this is a serious issue. However, she does have one open outlet which she can convert to a modern outlet. The trouble is, with her funds for TARC stretched to the absolute limit, she doesn't have any way to fund it.
That's where you and I come in.
We can raise enough money together to install a new outlet and a heater that will keep her pets warm through those cold winter nights.
Please send anything you can! I set the goal at $1,000, but any amount that you can spare towards the goal of installing new wiring and a new heater is going to be appreciated! Every little bit counts, and these dogs need your help!
