Animal Friendly Skin Care Line

Donation protected

I am 24 year old passionate about animals and skincare. Originally I wanted to be a vet but sadly didn't make the cut so looked for other ways to help animals but encourage my creative side too so I decided to make my own skincare business. For years I have tried to start but due to unfortunate family circumstances have moved all over the country making loans and building credit impossible.

As of this year I am now settled and have spent the last 8 months working on a business plan which has finally been accepted onto the New Enterprise Allowance Scheme but my loan of £7,500 was cut down to £5,000 which severely affected my original business plan but none the less I managed to get almost all of my costs down. Everything was going well, I had my label quotes, the artwork was being finished, my translations were done, my safety certificates were in their last stages and my bottles and ingredients had arrived. Unfortunately however when my label design and total was sent back to me the price had almost tripled. The company has since tried to find me another label manufacturer who could provide me with a cheaper alternative but it is still double to what I had planned for.

I have managed to save some money but I am still £1000 short.

Abit about Skincare and my Product:
I am making a skincare line using only natural ingredients which are actually good for the skin for a reasonable price - no perfumes, no parabens, no nasties and certainly no animal testing! My products will also not be sold in Countries which require animal testing by law.

Many brands will state that their products are not tested on animals but sadly, in fine print state "UNLESS REQUIRED TO BY LAW" which in my eyes, and many others is not a cruelty free brand.

Countless times I have seen friends, family, (as well as youtubers and influencers with thousands of followers and subscribers) who are concerned about animal testing and want to use cruelty free brands who are often mislead by the "not tested on animals" statement meaning that they are still supporting non-cruelty free companies without even knowing.

Until larger Brands (like Kiehls, L'Oréal, Maybelline etc.)  refuse to sell their beauty products to places which require animal testing by law the cruelty will continue.

I have many ideas for future products and am wanting to help causes helping all animals across the world with donations and charity fundraisers once my business is up and running.

My starting products will be:

Body Oil:

A nourishing body oil for all over use (including hair) made with Sweet Almond oil, Rose botanicals, Neroli, Night Blooming Jasmine, Frankincense, Sandalwood essential oils and Benzoin.

Bath Salts:

Relaxing bath salts infused with Jasmine.

Any donations will be unbelievably helpful to my business.

Thankyou for your time and reading my story.
