Angelo's Creative Study Abroad Fund

My name is Angelo P. Hopson, a Southern California based fine artist and graphic designer from Louisiana. After dreaming about Paris since I was a child I finally got the opportunity to go this past March. It was an all expense trip my friend invited me to go on. It was everything I imagined and more! Florence was nice but Paris felt like home. The purpose of this Gofundme campaign is so that I can go back to Paris and stay for a year. The things I can learn and emperience, the people I can meet while there is invaluable. I want to come back to the States with the knowledge and resources needed to start a non profit organization for young talented youth who want to see the world and experience sights beyond brick, concrete and chaos. Like me, finances is a handicap for inner city youth. They have a hard time cultivating gifts because of their socioeconomic disposition. This leads to closed mindedness and wasted energy on street activity. Money shouldn't be a handicap for adolescents who have been blessed with creative gifts and neither should money be a handicap for these children to see the world. I want to not only teach these brothers and sisters art but I also want them to go on expense free trips to Europe, Africa, South America, etc. to expand their minds in ways they never imagined. I did the math and if 5,000 people donate just $3.65 to my campaign I'll have everything I need to start this new chapter in my life. My heart is heavy just from typing this because I am appreciative already for those of you who donate and those of you who can't donate but wish to see my dream fulfilled. I thank you so much and I will not forget the people who have been a blessing to me.
