Help get Angel Klein a heart

$7,785 of $20,000 goal

Angel’s journey began on June 24th, 2016. She had been perfectly healthy leading up to this, even getting her hair done the day before. When she first started feeling weak and dizzy, she thought she may be coming down with the flu. When her symptoms worsened, she was rushed to the emergency room at Samaritan hospital. They offered her fluids for her dehydration, but when they took her blood pressure they noticed something was not right. They immediately had her flown to Wenatchee Valley hospital, where she was given a pacemaker because it had become apparent that her heart was failing fast. Realizing the severity of her condition, she was then flown to the University of Washington medical center where for several days the doctors fought to save her heart.

Angel was diagnosed with a rare form of Myocarditis a few days later. Myocarditis is a very rare heart disease that typically effects less than 200,000 young adults a year. Most people with this condition never live long enough to be diagnosed, they simply die suddenly. In Angel’s case, her heart could not be saved and her only hope for survival is a heart transplant. In addition to the heart failure, Angels other organs began shutting down at a rapid rate so she was then put on life support  to keep her alive until she could receive an artificial heart.

We do not want Angel to go through this alone and we need your help .We started this Go Fund Me page strictly for Angel. Our family has opened a savings account that all donations will be deposited in to that only Angel can access. It’s hard to say what her long term medical care will require, so we wanted to have a fund set up to help her cover future medical costs. Angel is such a loving, caring, beautiful person that deserves all the help she can get. Please help us so we can help her.  Your donations and contributions will help more than you know.  Thank you so much!

It has been 10months since Angel was diagnosed with Myocarditis. Due to the lung damage and the high risk of Angel’s condition she has been denied a transplant in the state of WA and is seeking a second opinion in CA

Thank you everyone for donating to my sisters go fund me! ❤️. We really appreciate everything that everyone has done to help out. We will be seeking second opinions out of state as soon as we get everything in order. It's not as easy as you may think. Referrals, insurance, etc... on top of regular day to day duties! Our cardiologist at UW medical center have given up on Angel. They told us to accept her as is, nothing more. To live on this machine until something malfunctions and kills her. They say the life expectancy on the total artificial heart is "not good." My family and I see how amazing Angel Klein has recovered, after everything they said was next to impossible to overcome. We do not accept this as Angels final fate. It's cruel to be told this is it, to stop and give up. After everything she has overcome. We will never give up, we are going to fight for Angel!! She's not given up, not even close! She is ready to move forward and try to get a new heart! She's doing great and getting stronger each day. So thank you everyone who has been supporting my sister and family in any way! Thank you for moral support, prayers, financial, and to everyone who has helped watch my kids! So I could go to doctors appointments etc... . Thank you! Love you all! ❤️

Angel has been denied for a heart transplant again due to my lung condition. So my family have decided to seek a second opinion in California!! Mostly due to fact that they have had more exspirence with lung / heart transplants. Angel has a long road ahead of her and needs all help that she can get !!!

Angel is still not on the transplant list, hoping for a miracle that they will list her soon in Washington state. Her left lung got severely damaged while she was on EKMO life support, while waiting for her total artificial heart to arrive. If they don't list her soon, she will have to go out of state for second opinion. Please send positive thoughts and prayers for Angel to get that chance she deserves, a chance at getting a new heart.

Today marks 101 days since Angel arrived at the University of Washington Medical Center! Since the last update Angel has had some great and not so great things happen to her. Angel suffered a stroke which was very terrifying. Luckily, she has fully recovered her speech, memory, and motor skills. Angel was also diagnosed with a severe lung infection which the doctors said was not treatable. Miraculously, with a heavy dose of antibiotics and Angel's perseverance the infection has cleared! Unfortunately Angel's lung is still damaged from a prior blood clot and fluid build up that has caused scar tissue. Although her lung will probably never fully heal, we are still hopeful that it can repair itself enough so Angel can qualify for the donor transplant list.
On a positive note, Angel now has a freedom driver! This is a much smaller, more portable version of her total artificial heart that allows Angel to leave the hospital periodically to do some normal things like going shopping and eating at a restaurant! If Angel remains stable on her new freedom driver she may be discharged from the hospital very soon! The next step is for Angel to move to hospital housing which will allow her to continue her healing process in a home setting that is still very close to the hospital. Angel's goal is to eventually come back to Moses Lake where she can be reunited with her cats and friends.
Angel and her family are extremely grateful for each and every donation and ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers as we still fight to get her on the heart transplant list.
Thank you

I'll take a look at my money situation and see if I can give. Angel was one of my best friends growing up. All of my good thoughts are going in her direction! P.S. - Her name is repeatedly spelled incorrectly in this page. You're calling her "Angle" as in the corner of a triangle, not "Angel" as in a heavenly entity, which is the correct spelling. I just thought I'd point that out because while I am certain that this is a legitimate page, the misspelling of her name makes it lose validity. Just so you know.

Thanks to the female pilot from a small commuter airline that I ran into today (who would like to remain anonymous). After hearing about your situation she didn't even think about it. She just reached into HER heart to help.
