Ang's Eyes

This campaign is for one of my dearest friends, Angela Tanner.  She is legally blind with a condition called Ocular Albinism.  She has had this condition since birth.  Recently, Angela discovered a new device called eSight.    She had an appointment and the device worked with her condition.  While wearing the device, her vision was 20/20!!   This device is only stationary as it has a remote control and she'll look a little like Robocop while wearing it.   It will not allow her to drive or even walk while wearing them, but it will allow her to see things she's never been able to see. 

Now, for the financial part.  The device costs $15,000 and insurance does not cover it.  Angela has had many donors through her church and family and has raised half of her funds.  I would like to help her out so she can get these new eyes soon!   She has an appointment on June 1 and I'd love to see her be able to pay it in full and not have to take out a loan.  

Angela doesn't like to ask for money.  She is very independent  She has taught school for 17 years, but has stayed in a small Christian school so that she has smaller class sizes since she doesn't see well.  Teachers do not make a lot of money, but teachers in Christian schools make even less.   Angela graduated with me from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and we lived together for most of that time.  She very rarely asked for help for anything.  She has lived her life to the fullest, even with her disability.  She excelled at college and excells in her day to day life.  I would love to see her get these eyes immediatley and see what so many of us take for granted!
