Andrea Spano's Breast Cancer Fund

Donation protected
On May 18, 2017, just 2 days after celebrating her 40th birthday, Andy was doing her normal self breast exam and noticed an unsual lump in her breast she contacted her PCP who ordered her a mammogram and ultrasound.  After having that done it was determined that there are lumps and a tumor deep in the breast tissue. A biopsy was completed and on June 13, 2017 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and now has to undergo surgery on July 18, 2017.

The type of breast cancer Andy has is called Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS). Early detection is key for this type of invasive cancer. In Andy's case it is in its earliest stage but as a result of the cancer she has to have a Double Mastectomy and full reconstructive surgery.

This surgery is very extensive and will require Andy to be off work for the minimum of 8 weeks. We are hoping to raise enough money to help with medical and living costs. All money raised will go towards helping her not stress about all these expenses. Any extra money raised will go directly to The Pink Fund to help support others with breast cancer.

Thank you for all your help!!
