Ana Emergency surgery in Bahamas
Please help Ana's family with emergency medical expenses for an appendectomy and subsequent treatment for Sepsis as a result of the ruptured appendix! There is no insurance, this is all self pay and the cost of treatment is already well over $25,000 and climbing. Unlike the US, where there are ways to walk away from medical bills, in the Bahamas you can be taken to court and will be forced to pay somehow.
Our sweet God daughter, Ana Claridge, felt stomach pain late Monday June 4th. A Doctor visit in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas on Tuesday thought she had acute appendicitis, but no Ultra Sound machine was available on island til Thursday. Her parents attempted to fly to Florida, but there were no more available flights, so they flew to Nassau where she was admitted to the ER at Doctors Hospital. An ultra sound confirmed a ruptured appendix and she underwent an emergency Appendectomy at 1 am. 
Wednesday she felt a little better, but Thursday was not feeling well and was diagnosed with Pseudomonas, which can lead to sepsis. She is still at Doctors Hospital on IVs awaiting blood tests and now has more pain in her stomach. As I write this, we dont know exactly what is happening in her little body.
At every turn the hospital want assurance of payment, so funds are needed desperately as credit cards are being maxed out and savings are being spent to treat her. Her parents have worked very hard over the last 10 years, to start a rental management company, build a house, get out of debt, and live a happy life, these bills are crippling for anyone to absorb. Any help is greatly appreciated to get this sweet little girl back to enjoying her summertime and not lying in a hospital bed with IVs.
