Ana Defaz Gastos de Funeral

Donazione protetta
Ana Defaz our strong,  fun, loving, caring  wife, mother and grandmother. She was the head of our family always taking care of her 5 children and ensuring the well being of us all. She always fought to keep our family united and demonstrated the true meaning of family to every single one of us. Her smile and laughter was always able to light up the most darkest room.  She was diagnosed with Gallbladder cancer January of 2018. When we received the news we were distraught as a family. We saw as the chemo took a toll on her body, and her emotional health. Yet still she fought and didn't give up and against all odds she beat Cancer. Later, in January of 2020 she was re-diagnosed with cancer but this time around it had metastasized. It spread to her Liver, Lungs, Pancreas and Stomach. Yet as a family we were still hopeful and maintained the faith that she taught us that like she beat cancer the first time around she would do it again. This time around the process and pain took a stronger toll on her mental and physical health. She was in constant pain but yet a smile never left her face. It is that strength and will that we will always carry in our hearts and remember her by. Since Gods timing is perfect, on March 3rd of 2020 our whole family was able to take a trip to our home country, Ecuador. Where she reunited with her siblings and her son. Due to the pandemic a trip that was only meant to be 2 weeks long turned into 3 Months. During this God gifted time she was able to enjoy the company of her loved ones and say her final goodbyes. She decided to opt out of chemo and although it was hard for her children to accept, they decided to respect her decision. We were able to spend one last mothers day and birthday with her and we will forever be grateful for that. We all knew what was coming and all of her loved ones visited her often and she never spent a moment alone. On her final day all of her children and grandchildren were able to individually say their goodbyes. Her daughter Gisella was able to witness her last laugh and her last wish which was to see and be accompanied by her husband of 47 years. Upon seeing him she closed her eyes and although she was still breathing she never opened her eyes again. Her strength was beyond what words can describe. After battling cancer 2 and a half years at the age of 65 she passed away on 08/28/2020 at around 10:30 pm surrounded by her whole family. We are collecting funds for her funeral service costs and any donations would be appreciated. Thank you for reading her story and considering helping us during this unprecedented time.
