Ana and Emily's Journey

Thank you so much for taking the time to come to our site! Ana and Emily, our two precious girls, have both been diagnosed with Epilepsy. Ana was diagnosed 5 years ago with Status Epilepticus. Her first seizure was sever and left her with permanent developmental delays. Last year she started having breakthroughs seizures which caused her to regress significantly. She was finally diagnosed with a new type of seizure, Complex Partial. It took quite a few medication changes before we finally found a combo that worked for her. Then not even a month after finally controlling Ana's breakthroughs, Emily was diagnosed with Epilepsy as well. Her diagnosis was Absence Seizures. Emily has also been diagnosed with speech and fine motor delays.
We are reaching out to our friends, family and community for help. The costs associated in caring for one child with Epilepsy is incredible and now we've found ourselves having to provide for two with drastically different needs. We appreciate your time and support as we navigate this unique situation.
