Dear friends of Braden Bickle and his family,
Some of you are friends of mine and many of you are strangers that I hope will soon convert to friends. For those of your that do not know me, I am a friend and coworker of Braden’s. As many of you know, Braden's wife Amy is suffering from cancer that started in her appendix. Amy, Braden and their family have been fighting hard in every way to help Amy conquer this horrible cancer. While their battle has been unrelenting; their strength, their courage and their faith in the face of all of it has been humbling to us all. The journey continues for them, and Braden and Amy so appreciate the love and support that everyone has showered on them through their journey.
It is always so hard to negotiate the best way to word this, but I will try to do my best—albeit clumsily. As many of you imagine, not only is this journey daunting emotionally; but it is also almost insurmountable financially. As Braden and Amy have been tirelessly trying to find a treatment and cure for Amy, the financial burden has been hard. I started this “Go Fund Me campaign so that Braden’s friends in the ad community who wanted to help Braden and Amy could. Know that Go Fund Me requires that you state a fund raising goal when you set up the account. I entered $100,000 for the goal, while lofty, it does allow for plenty of growth. Please know that the need is great and the needs will continue to be ongoing. Above all, please feel free to give what you are able to give.
I received many of your email addresses from Braden so that I could reach out to the people that Braden wanted me to. And there are many people of whom Braden did not have their email addresses or contacts but he thought that some of you could be helpful in tracking down those email addresses. For anyone and everyone that I have missed, I ask you to please forward this email and the below information to whomever you think is appropriate and would want to know.
