a million hugs

I am raising money to surprise the elderly on Christmas and future holidays at nursing homes.  You would be surprised at how many have no one to even hug them on Christmas. 

 

Elderly people are sent to homes for many things.  They are sent because they are too old and frail to take care of themselves anymore, they have Alzheimer’s, broken bones, and other medical issues.  A lot of family members can’t understand what is going on, or know how to help them, and all together they drop them off and avoid them in the nursing homes to live out a lonely life.  I think this is not what family should be doing.  We should be enjoying their stories, enjoying their time, giving and showing them love, doing what we can for them.  Our life’s in this world is short and we should be helping people come to Jesus and give them love and hope.
 

 

I want to give the elderly love and hope for the holidays.  I want to see the sadness on their faces turn to smiles.  The elderly are people too and deserve the same respect as anyone.  Any donation appreciated.
