Wendy of Community Relief & Rebuilding through Education & Wellness (CRREW) is joining  Global Clinic in August in Guatemala.  Global Clinic offers holistic health services and trains local health workers in Guatemala in acupuncture. Wendy, a Registered Trainer of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) will train local health care workers and fire fighters in the NADA protocol. This protocol is being used internationally in a broad range of programs and populations. Wendy seeks your support so she can afford the costs associated with this week long training.

Taking this time to thank all of you who have chosen to support the work of the NADA training in Guatemala! I am so pleased to report that many of the students we trained have now graduated from their medical training program and have been offering the ear acupuncture - the NADA protocol- locally. A local acupuncturist continues to be in contact with them! If anyone plans on traveling to the Lake Panajachel area, please let me know so we can see if it is possible to take a box of needles to deliver directly!
Many many thanks!
And....to NYC residents, this Wed. Oct. 29th, I will be offering ear acupuncture (with local NADA trainees assisting) at La Plaza Cultural on E. 9th St and Ave C as part of their Sandy Commemoration ! It is a no cost community gathering with food, music and....acupuncture!

In 2008 I spent several weeks in Vietnam with Wendy Henry and an international team of accupuncturists who were teaching young people with vision disabilities ear accupunture. This was an amazing exprience. I so appreciate Wendy's commitment to bringing the benefits of accupuncture to many different communities such as the firemen after 9/11, the relief people in New Orleans after the hurricane, and I hope she will get all the support she needs for her work.
