On February 9th, Officer Marvin ‘Mark’ Asche was working a second job as a security officer. His efforts to earn extra money for our family nearly cost him everything. Mark and another officer were attempting to arrest a shoplifting suspect when he was shot. He took two bullets — one in the arm and one in the stomach. He spent 10 days in the hospital and remains in physical therapy.
A bullet broke a bone in his arm and is going through the lengthy recovery process. He can’t return to the Amber Police Department until he can grip a gun which means there is no income for our family now. The security company is not helping either — denying his worker’s comp claims. This fund is to help an officer who risked his life to keep the public safe
