Amanda's fight against lung cancer

Amanda Hatch is the only daughter of David and Robyn Hatch, she is 42 and the mum of 7 children. She has recently been diagnosed with cancer in her left lung. Amanda has had a operation to remove her lung completely. The doctors have told her that this is her only option and even by removing the lung her chance of surviving the cancer is slim.
Her partner Phil is currently the only source of income for the family, the family is already struggling and now he has had to take time off work to care for Amanda and the children.
