Alyssa's Scoliosis Treatment

I was diagnosed when I was ten but I can remember the growing pain back when I was around six. Over the years my scoliosis would continue to get worse, causing me more and more pain. Simple activities such as walking or even standing for too long can cause my pain to increase rapidly. In the eighteen years since being diagnosed I have tried every treatment short of back surgery with little to no relief.

That is until I heard of the Spine Correction Center of the Rockies located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Dr. Ferrell and his colleges have created a treatment system to correct scoliosis without surgery.

I had accepted that I would probably never feel better without intense invasive surgery but now everything has changed. With this treatment we are seeking a 20 to 25% correction which should help increase my quality of life as well as decrease the amount of pain I experience if not rid myself of it completely.

I don’t have insurance for this procedure and I have to travel 1,300 miles. The procedure will last two weeks so I am here to raise money not only for the procedure itself but for my lodging, travel and food.
