Alyssa's Story

Alyssa Antoci, now 14, wrote a book about bullying when she when she was just 8 years old called "The Purple Marble". Her book is based on a true story of a family member who was bullied for being overweight and had to eat his lunch in a boy's bathroom stall to hide from the kids who were going on a "pig hunt".  Alyssa was so saddened and horrified by this story, that she wanted to write about it.  She, herself has also been bullied and wants to help create kinder schools .

After hearing back from so many teachers and one in particular who said, "This book needs to be in every school in America," she is setting out to do just that.

Her book is written from the perspective of an 8 year old and so many kids can relate to it. Our goal is to get 100 "Purple Marble" books into schools by this Holiday Season. We need to break the circle of bullying and start the discussions in schools and end this horrible epidemic of bullying.

Your donation of a minimum $25 will allow us to send a copy of 'The Purple Marble', to a school of your choice (or we can choose for you, as we have a list of schools that are requesting it).  Please encourage your elementary school teachers to read the book because there is also a list of discussion questions at the back that help guide the discussion. We are so grateful for you donation and helping us with our mission to create kinder schools.

Please watch this video to see how Alyssa has been making a difference.
