I am a photographer who works primarily with families and children in the Central New York area.
About a year and a half ago, I was asked if I would ever do end of life photography. I honestly didn't know if I could keep my own emotions in check if faced with a child or a baby who was ill or had passed, so I declined repeatedly. Until one day a call came in that I couldn't refuse and I made the choice to go.
I'll never forget that day, walking into the unknown. As I stepped into the hospital room and saw that young mom looking at me, shielding her sweet baby girl behind her swaddling blanket, my heart connected with hers. I looked down at this tiny baby with abnormalities beyond what I had ever known could exist, and I saw the most beautiful soul. I wanted to honor her and the love that her parents felt for her.
As I set about photographing her short little life, I was amazed at the incredible amount of grace that was present in the room. Not ever having any experience in this type of setting, I was surprised at how comfortable I was. It was sad and incredibly beautiful at the same time, and that's when I realized that this was a gift for both of us.
It's been about a year since I started this journey, and in that time, I have been honored to witness and document the lives of so many children. From ten ounce babies to full term ones and several medically fragile children, as well. I'm inspired to see that there seems to be a shift in our culture that's slowly taking place. I have clients who proudly display the photos of their children for all to see, no longer a secret that makes others uncomfortable, but beautiful art that tells a story of love.
Please help support me in my journey to provide non-profit photo sessions to families faced with losing or having lost their child.

To raise the funding necessary to grow The Always Love Project
• To gain non-profit status
• To continue to provide photography to families at no cost.
• Equipment (back-up camera, macro lens)
• Supplies ie, printing, packaging, thumb drives, shipping and postage as well as gas and parking garage fees.
• Technology (website and presentation materials)
