Help us improve Alpenglow Collective's web and mpbile site!

The goal of Alpenglow Collective is to provide an inclusive online community for women, trans, and non-binary individuals to meet up and climb.

Alpenglow Collective is a connecting force for all women* in the climbing community. It is an inclusive platform where they can connect, find climbing partners, and create lasting mentorships. We are striving to foster in-person relationships within the women's climbing community, which is especially important as more climbers wish to take their experiences outdoors.

This website is unique from existing women’s climbing forums in that it is not a blog, a message board, or a general meet-up site. It focuses specifically on pairing women with others who share their interests and goals, and providing a forum to meet and climb. Members of the collective create a profile and browse for others with similar interests, locations, and goals.

Climbing with women is a refreshingly different experience - I feel encouraged, comfortable, and driven in a unique way that pushes me to try my hardest. I hope that Alpenglow Collective can create a climbing community for women who want to improve their skills, plan trips, and just hang out with others who are passionate about the same things that they are.

Fundraiser money will go towards the process of improving the site's functionality by making it more intuitive with Google location services, beter messaging, and more instructive and interactive profile creation. We have realized that nearly 90% of our members use Alpenglow on their phones, so we want to make the site as fluid and intuitive as possible. 

Funding also goes towards Wordpress plugins to improve the site, paying for the server that hosts our site, Facebook and Google ads to get the word out, as well as Google business email. Additional donations will also go towards creative input, so that we can commission help with graphic design, tech support, and media outlets. We will also use funds for events that we host, including marketing materials, rentals, paying for event spaces, food and drinks, etc...
