HELP ALLY GET TO THE PGA TOUR
Friends + Family. We're asking for your help so Ally can continue to pursue his goal of reaching the PGA Tour. Your support will help with travel expenses, some food in his belly (he needs his vegetables to smash those 300 yd drives) and a roof over his head as he travels throughout South America competing on the PGATour Latinoamerica.
About Ally
Born in Bristol, England in 1992, Ally was raised in the small seaside town of Clevedon in the County of Somerset.
Having played football (soccer!) for school and junior teams, it wasn't until his family moved to the County of Lincolnshire that Ally took up his interest in golf at the ripe old age of 13 !
When Ally and his family immigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada in June 2007, it didn't take long for him to find his new home at Ken Wo.
He was made incredibly welcome and it was here that he started to develop his ability with the help and support of both the staff and members.
His accomplishments at Ken-Wo included:
- 3x Burger King Junior Champion
- Junior and Men's Club Champion
- Canadian Games Team Nova Scotia Member
- Multiple x Junior Provincial Team Member
- Men's Provincial Team Member
- Nova Scotia Men's Amateur Champion
Despite not initially wanting to take up the opportunity to study at University (he was not keen on studies !) Ally eventually joined Coastal Georgio University where he continued his winning ways:
6x Collegiate winner
4x All American,
National NAIA Team Championship Title
National NAIA Individual T4th finish
Nominated for Jack Nicklaus Player of the Year Award
Member of All Nicklaus team (along with other nominees which included Bryson DeChambeau and Ollie Schniederjans)
In September 2016, Ally took the step of turning Professional and in January of 2017, was invited to Q School in Argentina with the aim of competing for a place on the PGA LatinoAmerican Tour.
With only 11 cards available in a field of 144, Ally played outstanding + finished in sole 4th place (-10): gaining his PGATour LatinoAmerican membership card for the 2017 season.
A fantastic achievement, this has given Ally the platform to play on the biggest stage of his career with the ultimate goal of reaching and performing on the full PGA Tour.
