#JanuaryScholarship

My name is Allyce Ebert. I am currently a high school senior at La Porte High School in La Porte, IN, and I will be graduating this coming June. I am so excited to have been accepted into Indiana University Bloomington, my first choice college. I look forward to my years as a college student and making a difference in the world.
The purpose of this GoFundMe page is to tell you about myself and my accomplishments, while giving you the opportunity to help donate towards my goals at college, and to also enter the #JanuaryScholarship contest that GoFundMe has made available to college students. GoFundMe is giving away a $1,000 Scholarship to one lucky college student to help pay for books, a new laptop, iPad, or any other college supplies. I need at least 10 friends, family members or friends of friends of friends to donate any amount of money to be eligible for consideration for this award.
I will be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences with a Business Minor during my years at IU Bloomington. It is a goal of mine to do my part in saving our planet from pollution and global warming and minimizing carbon footprints.
Throughout my four years at La Porte High School, I have served many hours of community service. Whether it has been simple projects, such as picking up trash on the highways and ringing bells at Christmas time to raise money for the Salvation Army, or more involved tasks like raising money for private fundraisers and serving the elderly at nursing homes, I have always tried to put my best self forward and give 100% to help others and my community as a whole.
Being involved in Girl's Reserves, Student Council and the National Honors Society has given me the opportunity to volunteer my time and give a little back to those in need. For the past 3 years I have been fortunate enough to attend The National Leadership Conference at Camp Miniwanca, in Shelby Michigan. This year will be my 4th and final year as a participant, and I can honestly tell you that I have grown greatly from what I have learned at this program. With the American Youth Foundation's motto being "My own self, at my very best, all the time," I have learned to always be my best self, and encourage others to be their best selves as well.
I have maintained very good grades throughout my many school years, not just high school. I currently have a 3.8 GPA, and I plan to excel even more in college. I am diligently applying for all of the many scholarships available to me, through school and the internet as well.
My parents and I would be so grateful for any help with the many costs of college. I will be contributing by working during the summer and also while in college. Thank you so much for your valuable time and consideration. If you cannot donate at this time, no worries at all, please pass this on so that I can reach my goal of 10 donating participants so that I can be eligible for this award. Thank you to all donating and sharing! I will not disappoint you!
