All the Ladies Say NYC

$1,135 of $5,000 goal

Ten years ago we set out to see what the ladies of Hip-hop were feeling about their scenes, communities and careers.
We came back to NYC with a wealth of testimonials and what evolved into a 44 minute film entitled All the Ladies Say that touched upon some of the topics affecting us all regarding the challenges and triumph of women in Hip hop culture.
It is  2016 and we would like to revisit the main characters and introduce new ones that will reflect the change or lack thereof in today's Hip hop world.
This campaign will help with plans to bring 3 of the featured ladies to NYC and create a day of activities .. leading to a part 2.
Chicago and San Jose will also be locations  where lady Champ and Aiko will host events for 2017 to foster an open dialogue for the Hip-hop communities to participate and grow a better understanding of what we do and why we do it.
Thank you in advance to all for the support that strengthens and motivates us to believe there is a better world--- and we are creating it..step by step.

Please check out the website of the documentary mentioned above entitled "All The Ladies Say" at this link www.alltheladiessay.com

Sincerely,
Kwik and Rok and the ATLS team

The event on Friday June 10th was well attended and inspiring. Thank you to the artists including Peaches who was a charismatic host, MC Purple Haze who really rocked the crowd, DJ Perly on the turntables, Bgirl Eren who traveled from Chicago (THANKS TO YOUR DONATIONS) and to Bgirl J La Rok who brought her fire!
DJ KS360 and DJ DP One rocked the house after the performances til closing.
Thank you to all the attendees who danced, posed in the photo booth, asked great questions and tweeted their comments on Friday!
Melissa and Rokafella captured event footage and also got some really great interviews with a few of the featured ladies..and will continue to follow up with other local and national female Hip hoppers.

But we need to keep the funds coming in to cover expenses.

Please spread the word about Part 2 and keep the fires burning for the team!

Hi there floor family!!
We are close to locking in a date and location for our first shoot of the part 2. Plans are being made for May 21, 2016 in Chicago for a one day event with Lady Champ as the host.
We have raised enough funds to fly a camera woman (the same who edited the original film Ms. Melissa Ulto) and Rokafella to Chicago. Thank you to our donors who made this part of the plan possible!!!!

But we need to cover other travel and production expenses.

Please forward the campaign link on your social media outlets and let people know you believe in this kind of project.

Thank you, thank you, thank youu so much for your support!! #ittakesavillage #hiphopculture #movingmountains #bgirls #womeninhiphop
