I have a chance to go back to work after a very rough time in an abusive relationship I've been trying to leave for over a year and a half.
I need help to get a car and rent a room so that I can stay in the country and at least have access to my toddler son, to whom I am primary caregiver.
I have tried everything. Police, abuse agencies, refuge, homeless hostel. I've been denied assistance at every turn, or a "one size fits all" solution has been attempted to be applied to me, and I've subsequently been denied assistance because I am unable to comply with pre-set programs and requirements because of my unique immigration status.
My last chance is to become entirely self-sufficient so that I can stay here in the UK and remain in my son's life.
I must move out of the house in order to have any hope of staying employed as my husband actively sabotages me for employment. (Picking fights, keeping me from sleeping, having me arrested on false charges, etc.)
The job that I interviewed for did not require a vehicle but the job they offered me does and puts me out of the office and in the community a great deal.
I appreciate any help or any leg up you might be able to offer during this time. I truly hope this is the last time I have to ask for any help, as I hope to finally escape this man and his controlling grip on me.
