Allie Davidson's Mayo Clinic Road to Recovery

Donation protected
A video of when Allie could dance I am looking to help the Davidson family so that they can take their daughter, Allie, to the Mayo Clinic's three and a half week Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Clinic.  Allie has been diagnosed with several chronic illnesses; POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), EDS (Ehler's Danlos Syndrome Type III), Fibromyalgia, and is currently being looked at for MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome).  She also suffers from Chronic Migraines.  Allie started having symptoms in Middle School such as debilitating headaches, fatigue, and some muscle tremors that could not be explained.  She was dancing competitively at the time.  By the time she was in the first semester of sophomore year it was difficult for her to get out of bed.  When she did she would become very dizzy and feel as though she was going to pass out most days.  Accompanied by brain fog, migraines, and a blood pressure that would not remain stable she started seeing many doctors.  Eventually she was diagnosed with POTS and Ehler's Danlos Syndrome and it was recommended she do her school online and quit dancing.  As time continues she has been experiencing muscle weakness, paralysis, and pain most days, joint sublaxations with pain, and often needing to use her wheelchair or walker some days.  There have been so many specialists and she is on quite a bit of medications.  There are no cures for any of these illnesses....only ways to learn to manage the symptoms.  She wishes to graduate high school and go to college and major in Screenwriting and Directing.  At this point that seems a long way away for her.  It has been recommended by three of her specialists that it is time for her to attend the Mayo Clinic's Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center in Rochester, Minnesota.  This clinic is 3.5 weeks long.  The wait list to get in is running into August/September.  The burden on the family is the traveling expenses including housing for almost a month, food, gas, etc.  Tracy will likely need to take a month off of her job which is another expense as she may miss income.  As it stands, there are still outstanding medical bills for Allie.  In the future she will continue to need to be under the care of multiple specialists.  This is Allie's best chance of regaining and maintaining a sound quality of life.  The hope is she can attend this clinic, be able to return to school full time, graduate, and head off to Film school next fall.  If you know Allie, she has an immense love for Jesus and puts all her trust and faith in him.  She is a strong willed young woman who loves others fiercely and has so much life to live.  Our hope is to help her get the opportunity to live her life to the fullest and keep on being the sweet Allie we all love.
