Allexis World Transplant Games 2017
My name is Allexis Siebrecht. I received my Life Saving Liver Transplant June 1, 2015 due to a Rare Liver Disease Biliary Atresia.
When I lost the ability to play sports, I couldn't even breath. As my health improved, I was able to slowly get back into sports and started to improve mentally and physically.
I am now at the point in my life where I am confident that I can compete at a high level again. By competing in the World Transplant Games I can show my friends, peers, family and everyone who helped me, and myself that as long as you are still breathing, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. "Never Give Up"
I plan to represent Team Canada in The World Transplant Games in Malaga, Spain from June 25th to July 2nd. I will be participating in running, swimming, tennis, badminton and some track and field events in the 12-14 age group.
My friends, family, and the community across Canada have already gone above and beyond to help me with my recovery. I would love to be able to fund all of this myself. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a trip to Spain on my own.
I have more than 1,400 friends on social media if everyone could donate $5 dollars, that would pay for, registration, travel, lodging, for the week in Spain. Help me bring home the Gold. I appreciate any donation you can make.
