On April 15, 2018, a devastating accident occurred while a legally owned gun that Allante Floyd was preparing to clean accidentally discharged; the bullet passed through the wall of his home and struck his neighbor, who tragically lost her life on April 23, 2018.
My brother, Allante, has always been an honest, accountable and independent person. In fact, when this accident occurred, he immediately did all he could to help the situation. Allante displayed courage and acted accordingly. He immediately went to check on the household next door and called emergency services once he saw what had happened. He also cooperated with legal officials in the immediate aftermath of the accident.
Despite the fact the discharge was an accident, Allante has been criminally charged for the injury caused to his neighbor. He is currently being held in Lancaster County Prison on $750,000 bail.
We are asking for your help with Allante’s legal fees so that he can be represented properly and treated fairly by the justice system. Our first goal will be to contest the bail amount in the hopes that lowering it will enable us to pay it, and allow him to await his trial at home, with family. Our second goal is to pursue a vigorous defense of Allante in the court of law. All donations will be delivered directly to Allante’s legal representation.
