All Dolled Up Beauty Boutique LLC has brought together a successful group of talented and accomplished women who believe in a common philosophy of creating a cohesive, supportive, team based environment for salon professionals and clients alike. Nail technician and owner, Jillian Kingsbury, built All Dolled Up out of her vision to create a positive, uplifting community where independent beauty professionals could rent space and use their craft(s) to be successful small business owners. All Dolled Up provides clients with a unique high-end, relaxing and professional atmosphere where each independent professional shares the same goals of providing the highest quality in salon services. This skilled team also includes hair stylists, Jennifer Withycomb and Joanna Wilkins, Massage Therapist, Melissa Meyreles and esthetician Marsha Peacock. With a recent renovation, they now have two more hair stations awaiting independent stylists who want to share in this vision, to join their team
The building that has become All Dolled Up in historic downtown Somersworth, NH has gone through many hands since it first opened as a Cumberland Farms in 1970 until its final life as a restaurant that sat empty for 2 years. The transformation of this space began three years ago, taking months of passion, sweat equity, help from friends, family and some clients to produce this welcoming, charming, whimsical and eco-friendly full service salon. Most of the furniture at All Dolled Up was refurbished by hand, up-cycling antiques to give them new life. The attention to detail and artful finishes can be seen throughout the salon, which is still evolving as time passes. Please see the slide show for the remarkable evolution of the space.
All Dolled Up is active in reaching out to the community through events that support women in small business and local charities. The salon is also proud to help build growth in the historical downtown as a destination spot for clients from all over the seacoast. As a member of the Somersworth Downtown Small Business Round Table, Jillian helps support the ideas and initiatives of the group to assist in revitalizing this charismatic and historical city.
The three year lease to own contract on building that is home to All Dolled Up is coming to a close. Through struggles and triumphs, making ends meet, the responsibilities of fully maintaining the building while making non-refundable payments towards its purchase price, All Dolled Up is in need of funds for closing costs. After exhausting all options, they are asking you, the community, to help keep this dream alive by giving what you can on their GoFundMe page.
