College tuition (Delaware state)

 Hello! My name is Al-Jabree Tomlin, I have recently graduated from University High School in Newark, NJ. I have played basketball all four years of my high school duration while maintaining an above average GPA and various summer jobs. Three of those years I played on the varsity team, which led to 3 sectional championships and 1 state championship. Although basketball is my first love, I picked up a similar passion for football in my senior year of high school, and will continue to play throughout my college career. I have since been accepted to Delaware State University.

The news was very exciting yet, overwhelming. However, this past week my family and I were informed that I have a large balance; after all my Financial Aid and scholarships were applied. After further review, my family and I, have come to realize that all financial avenues are now exhausted. I have reduced my meal plan and have eliminated any unnecessary charges and fees. My parents and I have also maxed out on loans. Reality is, we cannot afford to take care of this alone. Without this balance being paid, I will not be able to start classes in two weeks, (August 24th to be exact).

As a young man, I am on a quest for knowledge and opportunities. Delaware State University will be able to steer me in the direction I want to take in life. I am determined to excel and succeed. And failure is not an option for me! This is why I am asking for your assistance. Whatever God places on your heart to donate will be tremendously appreciated……and I will forever be grateful!
