Save Alika's Leg!
Donation protected
Hi there! My name is Alika and I am 4 months old. I was born with a unique elbow deformity called Elbow Dysplasia. Canine elbow dysplasia is a disease of the elbows caused by growth disturbances in the elbow joint. My elbow is actually so unique that no vet or specialist around my home can help me. This is why my mom and dad are asking you for help. You see if my family can't get the money for my surgery, I won't be able to get the help my elbow needs. I heard them saying that if I don't get the surgery I have to have my leg amputated. You can see my x-ray below showing how my radius in my front right leg is very curved and is making my leg 1/2 inch shorter than my other front leg. I am going to OSU to see a team of learning students and doctors. The operation that they will perform on my elbow will cost over $6000. I'm trying to defeat the odds and be a happy playful pup for the rest of my years. Any kind of donation will help me and my family reach my goal, thank you for reading my story and donating to help me be a strong wild girl.
