Alignment: 20' Obelisk Burnable Art
Donation protected
I am working toward bringing a 20' obelisk to Burning Flipside, for your pyrophilic pleasure.
The concept is a 20'x4'x4' featuring cosmic symbols and designs along the four sides, brilliantly illuminated, topped with an interactive boosh cannon, aligned with the cardinal directions. Four smaller obelisks will surround the structure in each of the cardinal directions. The arrangement is planned to be set alight Saturday evening.
I have submitted the art registration forms and the frame is nearly complete. Over the next couple of weeks I will be working toward getting the thing ready for the Pecan Playa.
I will continue pouring every spare cent that I can into realizing this pillar of fire, but to make this the awesome spectacle that I envision, I need your support.
Any funds that I raise will be used for the following (listed in order of priority):
- guy wire and equipment for securing the structure to the ground
- CNC router bit for cutting designs into obelisk sides
- LEDs, rental lights and lighting hardware
- dry ice/fog machine
- more lights
- material for smaller obelisks
This is my first large scale art project, and I intend to cover the expenses above as frugally as possible. If I reach the goal and have more money than I need, all remaining funds will be allocated toward making the obelisk experience more amazing.
