Alex's Road to Recovery

To all of our family, extended family,  close friends and everyone who has a compassionate heart. I ask you to please take a minute to read this, and share it.

After celebrating Thanksgiving with our family, my brother became a victim of gun violence in our city, Chicago. Anyone who knows him could tell you how amazing he is. Never involved in any kind of trouble. He devoted his life to his wife, his son, making sure they always had what they needed. His wife is 8 months pregnant, and he is going to have to miss the birth of his baby girl. He is the biggest sports fan I have ever met. Extremely active in any sport he can get into. And its so unfortunate that someone so heartless could take away everything in a matter of seconds. He is only 23 years old and has his whole life ahead of him.

He was shot on both of his knees. We dont know how long the recovery will be. If or when he will be able to be back on his feet. He has gotten surgery on one leg, but the other knee was so damaged that there is nothing they can do as of right now. But with the grace of God and all of the amzing support we have been recieving. I know he will prove the doctors wrong. His recovery wont be easy but we believe in him.  

With him not being able to work and his wife also not working, we are going to need a generous amount of help. No one ever thinks about this happening to them. Especially not my brother. He did not deserve this. No man, with such a good heart, and such a big drive to become succesful in life, deserves this. 

We are very thankful that he is still here with us, and that no one else was hurt.
